Airforce one the plane game

Today we were working on developing our airplanes for having a long flight time. As we tested our airplanes we realized that weight plays and important role. We established that the more wing span we have the longer the flight time. We will test our final planes tomorrow and we are trying to beat the 7th graders who had a flight time of 10seconds.

Airplans, airplanes, and paper airplanes

Today we made paper airplanes. We had to go through a process of designing them, and developing them. Some of us had to learn to make paper airplanes before we could begin designing. Some of the airplanes were in the air for a long time, but some were not in the air at all. We had to change our ideas to make them better. It was fun. We think we are going to do really well with this project.

Bridges & Airplanes

Today we learned:
-You can make a bridge out of little materials
-How to follow directions
-Sometimes you can think creatively and become a big success with only what you have got.
-Prototypes are hard to make
-We also can define span

Tomorrow we will build our bridges out of index cards.

Paper Airplane Contest with 6B

Today in class we learned how to make paper airplanes that would stay in the air for a long time. It was easy because we had to fold paper, and attach a paper clip and tape. It was hard because we had to keep it in the air for the longest amount of time. We will test them tomorrow.

Airplanes 6A

Is not easy to make airplanes. Sometimes they nose dive to the ground, and sometimes they make a perfect landing. Other times they fly out the window. Its really fun to make them though they are difficult to make. We have a competition to see who will have the most air time with their paper airplane.

First day brainstorming of the commercial of the future today 8B

Today we worked on our commercials. We learned how to persuade people and to entertain people. We made beautiful props to use in our commercials. We summarized the lesson together, and now we are blogging. The things we are excited to do on Monday are the following:
-Bringing in fun props
-Record our work
-Show the class my picture of a beast

We had a lot of fun in class and a joyful day in school. :-D

Preparing for the commercials 8A

Working on the commercial we brainstormed ideas, and we practiced acting it out after we finished the script. We wrote the script, but we made it a general outline so that it is flexible.

Commercial making behind the scenes with 7B

Today we go into groups and we made posters and started thinking about ideas for our scripts. We were talking about how we will act in our commercials, and what extra things we would like to add i.e song, dance, prop etc... We really had to think about ourselves and our personalities, and how to put that in our commercial. We had lots of fun.

Brainstorming for our commericals 7A

Today we all got into groups and decided what kind of things we would do for our commercial. We decided what we will do, say, and how we will say it during the commercial. We also talked about music and props for the production. We began creating some of the props, and writing our script. We will be graded on content, extras, and entertainment value so we are working hard to make our commercials entertaining.
